This hybrid gets its boots dirty.
The Dual-Electric Motor set up with motors front and rear mean instant torque to all four wheels, engaging in milliseconds. No waiting for the grunt to turn up.
When it gets properly sticky, lock the front and rear diffs and switch on Off Road Crawl mode. It’ll pick its way across the terrain while you focus on the steering and speed.
Don’t just take our word for it… We took Kiwi motoring journalists to China and let them loose in slippery, wet clay forests. Spoiler: it didn’t flinch. Check out the results for yourself:

How much could the T9 PHEV save you?
Please fill in the fields to let us know what your typical trip and driving distances look like and we’ll do the maths for you:
Savings are an estimate compared to a diesel equivalent ute, and assume the PHEV is charged overnight on an EV charging power plan. Fuel prices use recent NZ averages. These figures are based on the ute being unloaded and not towing.

Tested by Kiwis, for Kiwis.
Before launching new vehicles here in NZ our Kiwi-owned team put them through their paces… testing them by Kiwis, for Kiwis.
We reckon it’s important to be able to stand by our vehicles and know that they do what they say on the tin.
We did the same before launching JAC Light Trucks, and the JAC Diesel Ute, so it should come as no surprise that we’ve done the exact same with the JAC T9 PHEV Ute.
Cop a load of this!
